Once a shoot is complete, I’ll have quite a few good test shots that sadly never get to see the light of day. So today I’m liberating these images from my hard drive. These behind the scenes shots are from the above lifestyle photo shoot for Hudson + Bleecker which is a company that specializes in chic luxury travel accessories.
We actually started out at a cafe around the corner from the spot photographed above. Lots of prop styling, and instagram posting happening while I tested out lighting for the cafe shots.
I was a part of an awesome team of brand and styling experts put together by the Creative Director of Hudson+Bleecker. They styled everything to perfection… from smoothing out the folds of a scarf to repositioning a luggage tag.
You would never be able to tell but it was freezing. Our model, Amanda who also has a blog Give a Girl a Shoe, warming up below below after we packed up all the products and gear. Location #2 was warmer and cozier….
In that last photo Hitha is packing up this cosmetic case designed with the sophisticated traveler in mind. She’s a bona fide pro at prepping for overseas flights and writes a blog, Hitha on the Go, dedicated to providing travel tips and packing advice.
Here’s Katie of Meyers Styles in her element, expertly staging the next scene for one of the shoe bag shots. Katie runs her own editorial styling company and is no stranger to working with prominent brands.
Here’s what it looked like once Amanda stepped back into the frame:
What a fun shoot day! Loved working with these talented ladies! If you’re interested in checking out the final images you can also find them on Hudson + Bleecker’s website. – xo, CM
